Our Beginning ...

Zephyr Boxers began in 1981 as a direct result of purchasing a boxer from Rob & Joanne Burns of Golden Haze Boxers in Calgary, Alberta (now retired from boxers and living on Saltspring Island). But Sharon's love of boxers started long, long ago (well, maybe not that long ago) with the family boxer called Lady, a plain fawn female who was a part of the family.

In 2001, after a lot of soul searching and life changes, Sharon decided to take a break from breeding boxers. But twenty years of experience and enjoyment don't end "just like that". In 2004, after relocating to Massachusetts, her interest in the breed was rekindled.

A member of the Rhode Island Boxer Club, past member of the Boxer Club of Canada, Midwest Boxer Club, Crocus Obedience & Kennel Club, and Canadian Kennel Club, Sharon has enjoyed judging sweepstakes at the Boxer Club of Canada national specialty, Missouri Valley Boxer Club specialty, and the Western Ontario Boxer Club specialty. She has shown in obedience and enjoyed showing her own dogs in Canada to many breed, group & Best In Show wins.
